On July 20, 2016 the McHugh Creek Wildfire was swallowing hundreds of acres of land and residents nearby were on standby for evacuations.

During my tenure as lead producer of the KTUU Morning Edition, we revamped the show to make it hard news-driven and fast-paced. The focus was on what the viewer needs to know for their day. 

 
 

Holiday Travel Segment 

Even with our holiday coverage, we worked to ensure our viewers got the information they needed while heading out of town to be with their families. This segment featuers a double live-shot with our reporter and meteorologist. 

 

This was a typical A block for the Morning Edition on KTUU before it was revamped. The show was filmed on July 1, 2016. 

This was our 4th of July weekend nightly show. In Alaska, it's a big sporting day with the Mt. Marathon race getting prime coverage.

We introduced our investigative reporter to our viewers on October 18, 2016. He is a veteran newspaper journalist who was making a shift to television.
